Terra Sancta's Source code

Our Labels

The Terra Sancta label is our source code. Representing not only where our products are from, but who we are and our approach to life.

The label is vibrant, alive and expressive. We see these same qualities in nature - in our vineyards, Goat Gully, the Hill of Health, the hens, the Baby Dolls, the products we produce and our people - it is all around us.

OUR ORIGINS

The origins of Terra Sancta From the world's first atlas

It all began with a map - the original map of Terra Sancta - the Holy Land - created by Abraham Ortelius in 1582. From “Terrarum” the first atlas of the world, not only did it obviously inspire our name, but it became the inspiration for our labels. We love old maps. Beautiful art in their own right, they tell a story and inspire the imagination. They are a rich tapestry; an allegorical portrait of place. In elaborate antique maps the cartouche surrounding the place name would be illustrated with images that told the story of the place depicted in the map. In the same way, each Terra Sancta label tells the story of the product and the place from which it originates. The label is a source code - an entry point into our world.
